For a decade those people that do not agree with the bean brains on the Right have been labelled…..”apologists“……”elitists“……”socialists“…..”bleeding hearts” and now we are “globalists“…..which is fine but I am not sure that the nose pickers actually knows what the term means….other than a convenient insult.
But as with anything thing its meaning is subjective……subject to the whims and mental farts of idiots.
The “Globalist Agenda“….as defined by a conspiracy site(I would give a link but screw it…find the looney tunes for yourself)……
The Globalist Agenda represents a plan to bring all of Earth’s inhabitants under the control of a single, global state. There is a small, but powerful group of individuals who are the architects and instigators behind the formation and implementation of this “New World Order”. Using their influence through international organizations such as the IMF, World Bank, the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA), the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group, the United Nations, NATO, and hundreds of other non-governmental organizations, the objective of these internationalists is nothing less than the subjugation of everyone on the planet as servants to a one world government (servants means slaves). A government run by the same small group of elite that have ruled the masses for a very long time under various guises. These elite are the descendents of those that ruled for at least the past 2 centuries – kings and queens, bankers, robber barrons, priests, and assorted subservient oligarchs and media representatives. Their desire for a return to a one world feudal state should come as no surprise to anyone who has read a little history. It is their nature after all.

Now for the definition out of the hands of idiots and conspiracy theorists……it makes more sense….
So why is this term used as some sort of off-handed insult?

Of course that will not be met well by the Trump-ites……and that was evident in a Right Wing publication, The National Interests……
The pundits and commentators and pols and prognosticators will all identify multifarious political fault lines to explain the looming epic American battle between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton – women vs. Trump; evangelicals vs. Hillary; Hispanics vs. white, working-class Americans with no college; the LBGT community vs. traditionalists; old vs. young. It’s all important, but not very. Any true understanding of this election requires an appreciation of the one huge political fault line that is driving America into a period of serious political tremors, certain to jolt the political Richter scale. It is nationalists vs. globalists.

Now just think back to Trump’s views on trade……they sound like a “globalist” idea to me……
One of the major planks in Donald Trump’s campaign platform, if not the top priority, has been a stalwart insistence that voluntary commerce and trade with other countries weakens America’s economy and costs American jobs. Moreover, he insists that he knows best how to manage it all in the best interests of America.
Some cheer at these proposals, believing that Trump will, as he puts it, “Make America Great Again” (a campaign slogan lifted directly from the Reagan campaign over thirty years ago). Of course, these populist/nationalist/protectionist proclamations and policies are nothing new. The Progressive Republicans a century ago, including Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft and Herbert Hoover, all embraced them. Even earlier, they were central to the short-lived People’s Party, which was eventually swallowed by the Democrat Party’s progressive movement. However, the times of greatest economic growth and progress in America, resulting in the creation of the vast American middle class, grew not from government control and management of the economy by politicians and bureaucrats, but market capitalism. Perhaps I will delve further into this another day, but back to Donald Trump.

My point is that the people that use the term “globalist‘ as an off-handed insult have no idea what it actually means…..much less the proper way to use it…..hint: An insult is NOT the proper usage.
