New Bird Cam: White-tailed Tropicbird Cam Launches As Egg Is Close To Hatch! – April 19, 2019

The brand new White-tailed Tropicbird cam is live! Enter the nesting cavity of a White-tailed Tropicbird pair on Nonsuch Island, Bermuda as they prepare for their single egg to hatch in a matter of days!

Watch this new collaboration with our partners at Nonsuch Expeditions LIVE at AllAboutbirds.org/Tropicbirds.

White-tailed Tropicbirds lay one egg per nesting attempt, and both parents share incubation duties, which last around 40–42 days. The female laid the egg in this cavity around mid-March, meaning we should expect the chick to hatch within the next week to ten days. Be there when new life begins on a small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!
