'News and Views of a Frustrated Editor and His Featured Guests '
I believe that the foreign policies of the candidates is the most important issue in this election…..and yet there is NO interests on grasping the complexities of the field…..while the mental midgets babble……
This week the big stories are one who got hired by the Trump campaign and two the health of Clinton….both are thoroughly disgusting news stories……both campaign’s should be above this sort of yellow journalism…..but that would be asking a lot out a bunch of cowards now would it not?
Both candidates are promising to keep the US safe…from what no one is really clear on….but we will be safer than we ever have been….
While these d/bags are playing their word games a major foreign policy story was developing…..
As the United States and Europe embark on an increasingly hawkish policy towards China, Beijing has moved to welcome the formation of an alliance with Russia to counter NATO.
Speaking at the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party last month, Xi Jinping delivered what Western analysts are calling an “incendiary speech” in which he called for a military union with Russia that would render NATO “powerless” and “put an end to the imperialist desires of the West.”
The harsh statements come at a time when both Beijing and Moscow find themselves vulnerable to an increasingly hawkish US foreign policy that has resulted in a series of massive war games on both countries’ doorstep and the placement of missile shields in strategic quadrants to limit the ability of both Russia and China to defend themselves if conflict were ever to ensue.
“The world is on the verge of radical change,” said the increasingly frustrated Chinese President. “We see how the European Union is gradually collapsing, as is the US economy – it is all over for the new world order.”
The rhetoric appears to be also focused on quelling domestic dissent in China with officials already calling on citizens to be vigilant for anti-government agitators who may be agents of the West amid a flourish of US meddling in the South China Sea dispute with the Obama administration rallying others to demand that Beijing be evicted from its historic territory based on a questionable ruling that has been criticized by legal scholars who argue China never submitted to The Hague’s jurisdiction.
Losing the territory of the South China Sea would represent a major setback for Beijing’s economic aspirations in light of the fact that over 40% of the world’s shipborne commerce travels through the area which also is home to one of the world’s largest deep water oil and natural gas deposits.
Rallying support among his countrymen, Xi Jinping declared “it will never be as it was before, in 10 years we will have a new world order in which the key will be the union of China and Russia.”
I hate to crap on you morons parade….but I think this is a bit more important than what you have puked up in the last week.
But Hell just keep blowing smoke and let a large military power arise while you were debating such important things as who is hired or who looks sick….
Let’s not leave the Congress out of the stupid thing……..
Instead of trying to find ways to ease international tensions….the Congress is about to make things worse……
The Cold War provided a solid generation of unfettered government growth in the US on the pretext of the Russian threat, and over the past few years American officials have relished at the new round of tensions with Russia, and the budget-busting spending it has permitted.
They’re hoping to make that permanent, with a new bill called the STAND for Ukraine Act aiming to make temporary measures imposed during Ukraine’s regime change permanent, and hamstring all future governments from a diplomatic rapprochement with Russia.
The new push centers in part on the fear that some future president might be less on-board with open-ended hostilities. Current Republican nominee Donald Trump has expressed doubt about the current acrimony, and said if elected he would be open to lifting sanctions on Russia.
It’s not just about Trump, however, and aims to preclude any president at any time in the future from such considerations, making the sanctions a permanent aspect of American policy. While there’s a lot of taxpayer money to be frittered away on preparing for war with Russia, however, those aren’t the only moneyed interests at play here.
You people are idiots!
Why do I think you are idiots? That is easy one…….
When the Cold War ended, “all defense budgets went south,” says one contractor hoping to turn that around.
The escalating anti-Russianrhetoric in the U.S. presidential campaign comes in the midst of a major push by military contractors to position Moscow as a potent enemy that must be countered with a drastic increase in military spending by NATO countries.
You think that the article I eluded to would have made the news considering the amount of money that will be made from fanning the flames of fear…..
